The Bender VMD420 series of multi-functional voltage relays is designed for monitoring frequency, undervoltage, and overvoltage in 3(N)AC systems. The VMD420-D-1 specifically monitors these parameters and also includes asymmetry, phase failure, and phase sequence monitoring. It features a multi-functional LC display for digital measured value indication and allows for the selection of different monitoring functions such as $<U$, $>U$, $<U/>U$, $<f$, $>f$, or $<f/>f$. The device measures RMS values (AC) and has adjustable start-up delay, response delay, and delay on release, as well as adjustable switching hysteresis. It includes two separate alarm relays with gold-plated contacts, each with one changeover contact. The operation of these contacts can be set to N/C or N/O, and the fault memory behavior is selectable. Password protection is available for device settings, and the unit has a sealable transparent cover in a two-module enclosure (36 mm). The system frequency is also indicated on the display.
