At the 2025 Intel Embodied Intelligence Solution Promotion Conference held on April 22, Intel officially released its Embodied Intelligence Big Brain Fusion Solution (hereinafter referred to as Embodied Intelligence Solution). The solution is based on the powerful computing power of Intel ® Core™ Ultra processors, as well as the new Embodied Intelligence Software Development Kit and AI Acceleration Framework. With its innovative modular design, it not only takes into account operational accuracy and intelligent generalization capabilities, but also meets the needs of different fields with excellent cost-effectiveness, laying a solid foundation for the large-scale and scenario-based application of embodied intelligence.
Guo Wei, Vice President of Intel Marketing Group and General Manager of OEM & ODM Sales Division in China, said: “The embodied intelligence industry represented by humanoid robots is experiencing an unprecedented development boom. However, challenges such as inconsistency in system architecture, insufficient generalization of solutions, and complexity of scene adaptation are restricting its large-scale commercialization process. Based on this, Intel has joined hands with ecological partners to create more efficient and intelligent solutions through the integration of big and small brains, and promote the advancement of embodied intelligence to practical application scenarios through the synergistic breakthrough of basic general large models and hardware technology, as well as the acceleration effect brought by the open ecosystem.”
The embodied intelligence solution released by Intel this time features the integration of big and small brains, which can enable efficient integration of perception, interaction, task planning and motion control in a unified system. As the computing power center, the Intel ® Core™ Ultra processor runs in coordination with the CPU, integrated Intel Sharp™ GPU and NPU, supporting the stable operation of diversified loads of embodied intelligence with high-performance heterogeneous computing power and high-precision real-time performance, while also greatly improving the overall efficiency and responsiveness of the embodied intelligence system. Among them, the CPU can support embodied intelligence solutions for complex motion control, the integrated Intel Ruixuan™ GPU is used for embodied intelligence to process complex tasks such as environmental perception, task recognition, task planning, large language model (LLM), visual language model (VLM) and end-to-end model, and the NPU carries AI tasks that require long-term operation, such as speech recognition, real-time visual processing, and sensor data analysis.
For embodied intelligence solutions, hardware is the foundation, and software optimization is an important part of improving overall performance and user experience. Based on this, Intel also launched the Embodied Intelligence Software Development Kit, which includes OpenVINO™ toolkit, Intel ®oneAPI toolkit, Intel®Extension for PyTorch-LLM (IPEX), Intel ® Industrial Edge Control Platform (ECI), libraries based on the open source robot operating system, middleware and sample applications, so that the code can be developed once and deployed on multiple platforms, shortening the evaluation and development time, and accelerating the deployment of customer applications and the operation of algorithms and applications. In addition, Intel also provides cross-platform AI model optimization tools and end-to-end process acceleration solutions to simplify the solution construction process and speed up product launch.
While continuing to promote innovation in embodied intelligence software and hardware, Intel has also worked closely with local ecosystem partners to explore a full-link collaborative model from technology research and development to scene implementation, building a collaborative and co-advanced industrial ecosystem and injecting strong momentum into the development of the industry. Among them, the embodied intelligence hardware development platform HB03 launched by Xinbu Technology is equipped with Intel® Core™ Ultra 200 series processors and Intel Ruixuan™ B570 graphics cards, which can provide powerful and flexible computing power and achieve extremely strong real-time control. The Xinbu HB03 platform has built a strong hardware support for the integration of the “big and small brains” of embodied intelligence through a compact structure, expansion interfaces and industrial-grade reliability design. At the same time, the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center also built the “Navigator 2 NAVIAI” humanoid robot based on Intel ® Core™ processors, achieving technical breakthroughs such as generalized high-precision visual servoing, long-sequence behavior planning of multi-behavior joint learning, and visual fusion operation behavior learning, which can enable it to perform complex tasks in industrial scenarios, and can also complete tasks such as human-computer interaction and assistance in service scenarios, helping the deep evolution of robot intelligence and promoting its development to a higher level of intelligent form.
As the embodied intelligence industry ushers in the “eve of a blowout”, Intel’s embodied intelligence solution, with its innovation in the fusion architecture of big and small brains, brings a balance between power consumption, cost, and computing power, making it an ideal choice for building embodied intelligence systems. In the future, Intel will continue to deepen technological innovation, expand its application scenarios in key fields such as medical care, education, and elderly care with ecological partners, and jointly build an open and collaborative embodied intelligence ecosystem, so that embodied intelligence can truly empower thousands of industries and provide support for the efficient operation and sustainable development of society.
